From small reptiles to larger mammals, there’s endless exploring to be done at Ponderosa Zoo. Get an unrestricted view of the lemurs at Lemur Lookout, and head to Lemur Bay to bounce away for the whole day on the new jumping pillow.
Lakeside is set within the grounds of Ponderosa Zoo. Conveniently located in Heckmondwike, West Yorkshire, Lakeside is easily accessible via car and public transport.
Having used Lakeside for many celebrations over the years, we booked the venue to celebrate my 50th Birthday with family and friends. Despite complications from lockdown during the run up, the venue and event was wonderful. Marton and his team did an amazing job and the party was fab. Great location, great food, great staff. We came here 5 years ago and wasn’t impressed in fact we left – what a transformation!!! The food was spot on, entertainment was fantastic the dance floor was always full, band and atmosphere fantastic.
Will not hesitate to re book for next year. All in all an absolutely fantastic night and the bar prices were very reasonable

Delicious meal and lovely venue with excellent service. We booked a table for Mother’s Day last Sunday and everything was excellent. Polite, attentive service and delicious food in lovely surroundings. Very reasonably priced and great value. We will certainly be going again and can highly recommend

We recently had our wedding at the Lakeside. WOW is one word to use, incredible, fantastic, flawless, stunning, magical, perfect are just a few more.
