About Ponderosa Lakeside

Lakeside at Ponderosa is a well-established celebration venue and restaurant. The restaurant was added to Ponderosa Zoo in 2008 by Howard Cook MBE and has expanded into the multi-purpose, and much-loved venue it is now. The family-owned business is surrounded by rolling countryside within beautifully manicured, landscaped gardens, and in easy reach of the main motorway networks.

Lakeside boasts exceptional spaces, both stylish and versatile – ideal for all celebratory occasions. With facilities for up to 200 guests, a relaxed soft seating area, and a delightful, covered terrace allowing guests to spill out into the gardens and down to the lake, we are sure you will agree that Lakeside is the perfect venue for your event.

Marton, our Manager has over 15 years of hospitality experience – his passion for hospitality and vision for Lakeside has helped to reach high standards and consistency.

Craig, our Head Chef has been part of our family for over a decade. Marton, Craig and their team take great pride in serving delicious food, using only the freshest seasonal and locally sourced ingredients, all of which is at the heart of any good menu.

Sustainability and reducing our carbon footprint is a focal point at Lakeside. We focus on supporting local farmers and producers, regenerating our waste and recycling, to be environmentally friendly.
